「鬼頭刀(mahimahi)魚」 是台東「成功新港-漁港」著名的魚貨,鬼頭刀是環繞著太平洋旅行的迴游魚,每年春秋兩季到訪台東,其魚肉鮮美甘甜肉質細緻、海魚骨大無細刺、肉白脂低營養高,美味且健康的最環保海洋蛋白質來源,是連歐美地區都搶訂的搶手魚品。

隨著太平洋迴游世界的鬼頭刀,每年總有一站會來到美麗的東台灣,更是台東的知名漁產之一。以飛魚為主食的鬼頭刀,總是追隨著飛魚群的後頭,在海洋表層閃耀著「黃、綠、藍」三色亮麗的金屬光芒,在海中展現著無懼勇猛的強壯生命力,如同台東討海人奮勇拼搏的堅韌,在台灣常因外型與習性而被稱為「鬼頭刀」亦或「飛魚虎」,光聽聞其名,就能感受牠的與眾不同。
2016年,台東餐飲老品牌「愛上台東義式餐廳」轉型專營「鬼頭刀專屬料理」,以充滿新奇感的全新樣貌:「MAHI MAHI TODAY好漁日」粉墨登場!老闆說他的概念其實很簡單,就是想以在地的特色漁獲,讓”MAHI MAHI TODAY”成為一處旅行者的休息站,讓美食也能是一場豐富有趣的旅行驛站。
【鬼頭刀(mahimahi)魚】是台灣台東「成功新港-漁港」著名的魚貨,除了東部靠太平洋的鄉鎮漁村較容易吃到之外,其他縣市非常難能看見這美麗又美味的海魚;鬼頭刀是環繞著太平洋旅行的迴游魚,因此在世界各地都有她的蹤跡,各種料理美味遍佈海內外,所以外國人爭著來台東採買。
每年春秋兩季到訪台東,其魚肉鮮美甘甜肉質細緻,海魚骨大無細刺,肉白脂低營養高,故此每日新鮮鬼頭刀一到岸,大部份就被歐美日等國家搶購預訂一空;這麼好的魚,我們當然期許不只是外銷,更希望留在台灣讓更多人享用。

The “mahi-mahi” is a popular fish traded at “Chenggong” Fishing Harbor in Taitung R.O.C. “Mahi-mahi” is also difficult to find in Taiwan as well except fishing villages along east coast of Taiwan.The “mahi-mahi” fish is travels around the Pacific Ocean. Therefore, there are traces of it around the world. Various dishes of the “mahi-mahi” are delicious all over the world, so foreigners buyers are vying to buy in Taitung.
The fish visits Taitung twice every spring and fall; its meat is fresh, sweet, snow white and tender, Fish bones without fine thorns, Less fat & High camp value. Buyers from Europe, the US, Japan, and other countries often snap up the fish when the catches are in. Such a good fish, we certainly expect not only export, but also hope to stay in Taiwan for more people to enjoy.
【Mahi Mahi Today】 is a restaurant for travelers to take a break from their travels and enjoy good food in a relaxing atmosphere. We sell dishes made of the “mahi-mahi”. Through eating this fish, we hope that more people will get to know the “mahi-mahi”.. We also hope that we can present the fish in a variety of international culinary styles; to allow our customers indulgent international experiences at our restaurant.

本店魚類皆是使用從成功漁港當天現捕的新鮮漁獲,以海水製冰封住後直送店裡,再由店內師傅們親手處理魚鮮,用成功討海人所教導的方式,保留鬼頭刀的新鮮度。
